Tom Malloy at 19 years old, wrestling Royce Gracie, who many people consider one of the toughest men in the world. Royce is a 3-Time UFC Champion and his family is known as the "Greatest Martial Art Family of All Time." The Gracies made a challenge to everyone... we fight you to the death, or until one man gives up, and if you beat us, you get $100,000. No one has ever won the money! For all you young people who think they want to become tough guys... I was a skinny kid who wasn't tough at all. After meeting the Gracies and training with them for 6 years, I was teaching seminars to Wrestling Schools all across New Jersey. At my college (Montclair State University), I formed a Jiu-Jitsu club called "SUBMISSION IMPOSSIBLE". We put an open challenge in the paper for anyone to come to the gym and try to beat us in an no-holds barred, bare fisted fight. We had about 18 different people try... wrestlers, karate guys, big dudes like bouncers, kung-fu guys... they all tried... no one won.
